Well hello, gorgeous. I’d like to spend some time with you.
Some structured time, that is, talking about your work, at:
Big Sur Children’s Writing Workshop: December 3-5 in beautiful Big Sur, Californ-i-ay. This will be my first time, and I’m sooo excited! “The format of the weekend program is unlike that of other conferences and workshops. Writers meet and work closely with at least three faculty members (who can be agents, editors and authors) throughout the weekend. The ratio of faculty to writers is five to one or better, and no two writers have the same experience. Faculty are established book professionals who are dedicated to helping new writers. The unique nature of our workshops has made them so popular that many attendees return year after year.”
The Glen Online, a program of Image journal: “One of Image’s primary missions is to foster the creation of art, as both as an end in itself and as a spiritual discipline. The classes and tutorial / manuscript critiques that the Glen Online offers will refine and inspire your creative abilities through one-on-one encounters with the highly regarded writers and artists featured in Image and at our Glen Workshops. The online format allows even those with demanding schedules to make room for their writing. The courses can be completed at your own pace, and suited to your level of experience.” Here is the scoop on my Young Adult Fiction class (scroll down).
The Glen Workshop East: East! As in, not Santa Fe! Yes, it’s a brand new workshop, in South Hadley, MA (Mt. Holyoke College campus), and young adult fiction is among the new classes being offered (along with dance and fiber arts, and of course old favorites fiction, poetry, spiritual writing, and various other visual arts classes). Read this page and also click the links to Glen 2010 and other past workshops to find out more about what the Glen is about, and get a feel for its aesthetic to see if it’s a place where you might feel at home. Registration for both Glen Workshops East and West opens in October, and I’ll talk about it more then, but I wanted to give you a chance to start thinking about it. Also, feel free to contact me if you have any specific questions.

I was already thrilled about attending the Big Sur workshop, but now that I know you’re on the faculty, I’m even more excited! Truly, this discovery made my day. :) It’ll be an honor to meet you (and perhaps work with you?).
